good session

Last night I played a pretty good session of 2-4 NL. i got lucky once. when you get lucky early it kind of feels like your on a freeroll and i think it helps you out emotionaly. i was on a cooler for the past couple of days and i was able to keep my emotions in tact and grind back losing only $200. Then last night I made some good reads at 2-4 NL

i was almost sure he had a busted draw here and was putting me on an 8 or a busted draw.

im pretty happy with how ive been controlling my emotions lately. ive taken consecutive bad beats with pocket aces and ive never really seemed to let it ruin my day. last night i went up against gopheresque on full tilt. from what i heard he was a good player and i wanted to see how i matched up. i ended up all in with the best hand AA, but he got lucky and made a strait. a lot of players on the site would rub it in, but he was very polite and apologetic which eases the blow. and i also realized i could match up with him, which is a boost of confidence.


today i had AA again in the live game. pot was a bout 50 bucks and the flop was 267, i bet 60, was raised to 150, and i moved all in which was only a few dollars more. he flipped K7 and turned a king. again, my opponent was very apologetic which eases the blow. i think all the pot i smoked has chilled me out a little bit, its just a game, and its just money.


but even when things are goin south in my personal life ive been handling it really well. the trick for me is to just laugh it off, realize things could be worse, and get back on track as soon as possible.
